Winter Wellness with MHC

For many in our community, the winter months can be particularly tough. Mental Health Connecticut’s (MHC) Winter Wellness campaign is focused on improving well-being during the winter season and ensuring that everyone, regardless of background or identity, has access to the mental health resources they need. On the Winter Solstice on December 21st, we are releasing a free, digital Winter Wellness Toolkit with information, tips, and resources to support individuals and families. The proceeds from the campaign will support the MHC Mental Health Concierge sliding scale, increasing access to therapy, in-home support, and case management.

Ensuring Equitable Access to Mental Health Care

Why support the MHC Mental Health Concierge Sliding Scale?

MHC Mental Health Concierge provides flexible, person-centered mental health services to individuals across the state. Our services include in-person and telehealth therapy, case management, and in-home support. The program strives to bridge the gap by connecting individuals to comprehensive support services, helping them navigate the complexities of the mental health system confidently, and ensuring they receive the high-quality care they deserve. Our sliding scale enables us to serve low-income individuals and is available thanks to the generous support of grantors, organizations, and individuals like you.

Winter Wellness Toolkit

MHC will release a free, digital Winter Wellness Toolkit on the Winter Solstice on December 21st, 2024. The toolkit will include mental health resources for the holiday season, seasonal affective disorder, loneliness, and more.

Bring Mental Health First Aid to Your Community

This Winter, in an effort to empower individuals to support each other and to improve mental health in Connecticut, MHC is encouraging organizations to provide Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to their staff and community. MHFA teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. This is a certified training, following the fidelity standards set by the National Council for Wellbeing and led by certified MHFA trainers.
