#LetsFaceIt

Welcome back to our Monday Motivation series, where we’re here to infuse your week with inspiration and positivity. Mondays often carry the weight of new beginnings and challenges, but they also offer the opportunity to set the tone for a fulfilling and successful week ahead. Let’s dive into uplifting stories, empowering quotes, and actionable tips to ignite your mind, body, and spirit for the journey ahead.

Turning behaviors into habits can be a game-changer, so here’s a laid-back set of steps to help you stay motivated and make it happen:

  1. Start Small, Like Really Small: Don’t go all-in from the get-go. Begin with tiny, manageable changes. Want to exercise more? What are two small ways you can fit more movement in your day?
  1. Be Consistent, Not Perfect: Consistency beats perfection any day. Stick to your new behavior even on the days you’d rather not. Consciously making the effort will help form a habit.
  1. Link it Up – Cue Time: Attach your new behavior to an existing habit or a specific time of day. Brushing your teeth? Do a quick stretch right after. Creating these cues helps your brain catch on.

This week, we are hearing from James Crocker who founded 2 nonprofits, Letters For Our Elders and Granby’s Got Pride, and getting his perspective on what has motivated him in his work.

As you embark on a fresh week in May, remember that each day holds the potential for growth, progress, and fulfillment. By setting intentions, nurturing a positive mindset, and prioritizing your well-being, you can transform Mondays into a catalyst for success and joy. Stay tuned for more Monday Motivation posts as we continue to empower and uplift you throughout the week ahead.

We want to hear from you! Pick a Monday in May and share a post about what motivates you. Be sure to tag @mentalhealthct and use the hashtag #LetsFaceIt and #MotivationMonday so we can share your post and spread some Monday motivation far and wide!
