#LetsFaceIt the backbone of our community support lies in the generosity of our community members themselves.

During this #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, we’re overflowing with gratitude for the incredible donors and champions of our #Let’sFaceIt initiative. Your contributions fuel our mission of partnering with individuals, families, and communities to create environments that support long-term health and wellness.

This week, our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our Presenting Sponsor…

ConnectiCare, a renowned healthcare provider in Connecticut since 1981, has reaffirmed its commitment by stepping up as the primary sponsor for Mental Health Awareness Month 2024, generously matching donations. Long-standing allies of MHC, ConnectiCare has chosen to support the #Let’sFaceIt initiative as part of their ongoing dedication to cultivating healthier futures for the people of Connecticut.

ConnectiCare’s President, Mark Meador articulates, “At ConnectiCare, we believe that creating a healthier future for our community involves prioritizing mental health, a crucial aspect of overall well-being. That’s why we are honored to support Mental Health CT’s “Let’s Face It” campaign, which aims to empower Connecticut residents with the resources and knowledge they need to take control of their mental health journey.”

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the milestones achieved with ConnectiCare’s unwavering support over the years.

2022– ConnectiCare played a pivotal role as the primary sponsor for the inaugural #Let’sFaceIt campaign, aiding us in raising over $54,000 to bolster Write On!, MHC’s program promoting writing and wellness among young adults.

2021- ConnectiCare sought to make a significant impact during Mental Health Awareness Month by supporting MHC as our “Double the Impact” Sponsor for the #Let’sFaceIt campaign. With their exclusive sponsorship, ConnectiCare pledged to match our campaign goal of $31,000, effectively doubling the impact on our residential programs statewide. Together, we surpassed expectations, raising a grand total of $72,446!

“Empowering individuals to share their journey with mental health challenges, trauma, or significant life events is an impactful strategy in dismantling stigma and fostering acceptance. It’s evident that entities like ConnectiCare and others understand the significance of proactive health measures, particularly in today’s landscape,” said Luis B. Pérez, President & CEO of Mental Health Connecticut.

2019- as part of MHC’s #Be1of10 Campaign, ConnectiCare and numerous other corporations and organizations lent their support by sponsoring various events, including the Art of Wellbeing, Mind & Body Wellness Fair, and Annual IC Walk and Open House.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners at ConnectiCare for their steadfast collaboration and support over the years! To learn more about ConnectiCare, please visit: ConnectiCare Website
