Shouting Out a Thank You to Stamford Health!

#LetsFaceIt our mission to support the community is only made possible through community support itself.

We are feeling extra grateful this #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth for the amazing donors and supporters of our #LetsFaceIt campaign, helping to support the launch of an arts and wellness program at the Hispanic Health Council’s (HHC) Family Wellness and Cultural Heritage Center in downtown Hartford.

This week we are shouting out a big thank you to…

Last year, MHC participated in Fairfield County Giving Day for the first time, a 24-hour campaign where people can only donate during the campaign hours (12AM – 11:59PM on 2/24). Stamford Health donated a whopping $5,000 to help set us up to reach our goal. Our final tally was $5,015 for individual donations and with the match from Stamford Health, we raised a total of $10,015 to invest in MHC’s Mental Health Concierge services in just 24-hours!

Lit up green for 2022!
Lit up green for 2023!

In May, more than 100 landmarks across the nation light up in green, the color of mental health awareness, to mark the beginning of Mental Health Month and encourage the public to learn about their well-being and take a mental health screening.

This year, 2023, will be the second year in a row that Stamford Health has lit up green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month. Thank you Stamford Health for lighting up green two years in a row and for the continued support of a healthier Connecticut! Huge thank you to Mary Laucks, Executive Director Of Care Management at Stamford Health and MHC Board member and Development Committee Chair, for her continued dedication and support of MHC!

Mary joined others to help celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2023 across the state of Connecticut by requesting a lawn sign.

Please email info@mhconn.org with the subject line: Lawn Sign 2023 to request a lawn sign for your residence or business. Let your friends and neighbors know that mental health is a priority for you and should be a priority in our state. Limited supply.

Time is running out to support our Winter Wellness Campaign! Your donation helps us provide essential mental health resources and expand access to care for individuals in need. Let’s come together to ensure no one has to face winter’s challenges alone.

While our Winter Wellness Campaign is coming to a close, our toolkit will be available on our website all winter long as we continue to embrace warmth, connection, and wellness.

This year’s Winter Wellness with MHC campaign is focused on giving mental health resources and support to communities throughout Connecticut.

Your donation will support the Mental Health Concierge sliding scale, enabling us to provide flexible mental health services to individuals in need throughout the state.

Your donation will enable us to provide mental health services, including therapy, in-home support, and case management, to low-income individuals and individuals experiencing homelessness.
