Shouting Out a Thank You to ConnectiCare

#LetsFaceIt Our mission to support the community is only made possible through community support itself.

We are feeling extra grateful this #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth for the amazing donors and supporters of our #LetsFaceIt campaign, helping to support the launch of an arts and wellness program at the Hispanic Health Council’s (HHC) Family Wellness and Cultural Heritage Center in downtown Hartford

This week we are shouting out a big thank you to…

ConnectiCare, a leading health plan in Connecticut since 1981, has signed on once again as MHC’s primary sponsor for Mental Health Awareness Month 2023, with a generous donation towards our fundraising goal. As a longtime partner of MHC, ConnectiCare chose to support the #LetsFaceIt campaign as a part of its ongoing commitment to creating healthier futures for Connecticut residents.

“Supporting Mental Health Connecticut is one of the many ways ConnectiCare gives back to the people of Connecticut,” said Kimberly Kann, AVP of Public Relations, ConnectiCare. “With the need for mental health support still so prevalent in our state, we’re proud to support the fundraising efforts of MHC’s Let’s Face it campaign. We encourage others to join us in advocating for mental health and wellness during Mental Health Awareness Month and year-round.

Join us in taking a look back at all we’ve been able to accomplish with the support of ConnectiCare through the years…

ConnectiCare was a primary sponsor for the first ever #LetsFaceIt campaign in 2022, helping us to raise over $54,000 to support Write On!, MHC’s writing and wellness program for young adults.

Back in 2021 ConnectiCare wanted to do something special to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month and support MHC. We were honored to have them as our “Double the Impact” Sponsor for our #31DaysofWellness campaign. With this exclusive sponsorship, ConnectiCare pledged to match our total campaign goal of $31,000, doubling the impact for our residential programs across the state. We ended the campaign with a grand total of $72,446!

“We are different industries but have very similar values between our organizations,” said Luis Perez, President and CEO of Mental Health Connecticut during a special virtual conversation in 2020.

In 2019 for MHC’s #Be1of10 Campaign, many corporations and organizations including our friends at ConnectiCare, supported MHC throughout the year by sponsoring specific events, such as the Art of Wellbeing, Mind & Body Wellness Fair, and Annual IC Walk and Open House.

We are so grateful for to our friends at ConnectiCare for their partnership and support through the years! To learn more about ConnectiCare, visit: https://www.connecticare.com/

Time is running out to support our Winter Wellness Campaign! Your donation helps us provide essential mental health resources and expand access to care for individuals in need. Let’s come together to ensure no one has to face winter’s challenges alone.

While our Winter Wellness Campaign is coming to a close, our toolkit will be available on our website all winter long as we continue to embrace warmth, connection, and wellness.

Across the country, nonprofits are being stretched to their limits. But the need? It hasn’t gone anywhere. Your donation today, may be the housing referral that helps someone get through another week. The in-home mental health support that keeps someone safe. The only meal they’ll eat all day. The difference between crisis or care. Every dollar changes lives. Every dollar is a lifeline.

Your donation will enable us to provide mental health services, including therapy, in-home support, and case management, to low-income individuals and individuals experiencing homelessness.
