This year, we made changes to the way program participants are being supported and we reminded ourselves that doing things the “way we used to” isn’t always the best way forward. We expanded our wellness programs, such as Mending Art and “Write On!”. We streamlined access to services for people experiencing homelessness, reducing wait times from 2-3 days to just 1 day or less. We began food delivery in Waterbury, delivering home-cooked meals to 70-80 members each week, and so much more! Thanks to our resilient team at MHC, we were able to make it through 2020 with a new sense of strength and with eyes wide open that moments of crisis can be moments of opportunity.

In the past, Mental Health Connecticut has mailed a formal Annual Report to share the highlights of our fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). This year, we’re doing things a little differently. On behalf of our team, we invite you to view our video titled, “Moments of Opportunity” a part of our 2020 Digital Year in Review. Learn more about our team and how we took the lessons from this year and used them to create opportunity.
